Network Engineer
Key Info is seeking a Network Engineer to design and implement voice, video, data, and converged networks. This engineer will assist with the pre-sales process including requirements gathering, project scope definition, and network design. This engineer will be primarily responsible for implementing solutions as required.
Duties and Responsibilities

Implement local- and wide-area voice, video, and data network solutions

Assist with defining business requirements of potential customers

Assist with translating business requirements into technical solutions

Assist with designing technical solutions and determining levels of effort to implement such
Knowledge and Skills Needed
- Must have designed and implemented large (5,000 node) multi-area networks with contemporary technologies
- Must be experienced with major vendors networking product lines, including Cisco, Juniper, F5, and others
- Must have expert knowledge of widely used protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS
- Must have basic knowledge of major operating systems including AIX, Linux, Windows and others
- Must have experience with both storage area networks and network attached storage
- Experience with Microsoft applications, including Office and Visio.
Work Experience Needed
A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the networking field
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
- CCNP or equivalent is required CCIE highly desirable but not necessary
Distinguishing Characteristics
Part of a small team of engineers each with different specialty areas; must be a team player
Location of position will be in Woodland Hills, with travel to Irvine office at least once a week. Additionally, about 25% of travel throughout the west coast will be required.
Highly professional with superior verbal and written communications skills, including public speaking and large group presentation skills
Off-hours effort is occasionally required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
