Account Executive


OFFICE LOCATION - Work from home with travel to customer sites locally

Job Summary:

 Drive sales revenue in new and existing accounts within Key Information Systems emerging market segment. Focus is on IT solutions around our Storage, Networking, Security, Virtualization, and Professional Services areas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities within the Storage, Networking, Virtualization, Security and Professional Services areas.
  • Operate with minimal supervision to identify, develop and close business opportunities.
  • Works closely with partners IBM, Brocade, Cisco, NetApp, Symantec and VMware to identify prospect accounts, establish introductory meetings with appropriate individuals, understand business opportunities, and position Key Information Systems as the preferred provider.
  • Coordinate internal resources from engineering and professional services teams along with OEM partner to successfully deliver IT solutions to our customer base.
  • Build strategic account plans for key accounts to develop long term relationships for ongoing business.
  • Qualified candidate will be capable of $2M+ in annual sales revenues
  • Must be effective at solution/value selling and developing new relationships
  • Ability to pro-actively identify, qualify, develop, and close new business opportunities
  • Significant knowledge and understanding in one or more of the following IT areas:
    (Storage, Networking, Security, Virtualization, Infrastructure Software, Professional Services)
  • Specific knowledge around products and solutions in the above areas from the following manufacturers (IBM, NetApp, Symantec, Brocade, Cisco, Microsoft, VMware)

 

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years proven sales experience in new account development (hunter/developer role)
  • 5+ years experience in IT solutions
  • Ability to work effectively in a high energy, competitive, team environment to deliver business results and build strong long-term customer and partner relationships.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in sales position
  • Current sales or technical certifications from any of the above manufacturers a strong plus
